I use mine for a lot of full 1080P movies, some of which I pull across the network from the blueray drive on the PC, so I sometimes got a bit of stuttering in movies where there are fast changing scenes with lots happening in them. But the easy way around that is to just put another network card into your PC and have that as the dedicated connection to your media player.

With the traxdata firmware, they fixed what was originally slow(ish) network connections, which can be crucial if you are pulling an MKV movie down off your PC and its one where there are a lot of very high definition frames that change a lot ( as it needs a hell of a lot of bandwidth - as in 30+ - 50+ megabits per second) on your network. You can go onto the 2 main websites at Sumvision and Traxdata and take a read of what fixes were done to which versions. If it's not the compressed header issue, then I'm not sure what it is except to say that you might have got a dodgy copy of the movie.Īctually, not very much difference from the original firmware ( for me anyway, as I don't use YouTube or any of the other internet facilities, which is where the mainfixes were made). You can ensure that ALL your movies tracks are remuxed without compressed headers by going to " FILE -> OPTIONS" then tick the box as in the attached graphic which will ensure that all movies are remuxed without compressed headers as the default.
You might find that the default language track is set to play Russian or German, or something else you don't understand, so the next graphic shows where to change it. When these are compressed, the movie streamers codec can't read it so it refuses to either show the movie or to play the audio stream ( or both - depending on which headers are compressed).
